What:  Reason for Referral follows three young college theatre students who are struggling to create relationships and make sense of a world that doesn't understand them. In the end, all three individuals must ask themselves if their creativity is a blessing or a curse.

Where: The Dallas Hub Theatre, 2809 Canton Street Dallas, TX 75226. Theater is located in the heart of Deep Ellum. Recommended parking at the meters in front of the theater on Canton St. Change is available at the box office. Additional paid lots available on Commerce St.

Reason for Referral was previously performed as a stage reading at The Ensemble Studio Theater in New York, Baylor University in Waco, TX, The Dallas Hub Theater in Dallas, TX, Texas A&M University-Commerce in Commerce, TX and as a part of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival where it won an original work award at the regional level. This is the first time it will be performed as a full-scale production.

Why:  Theater has a way of reaching people that other forms of communication cannot. My purpose is to Raise Awareness and understanding of Mental Health issues through the use of Theater, original music, and visual art.
